No. No. And no. OK? If you need more than one copy, feel free to contact one of our sales people to negotiate a license, or purchase additional copies. You might be surprised to know that making unauthorized copies of our copyrighted material is illegal and we know you're a good person. We're happy answer any additional questions about this particular topic, so feel free to call us or visit HonestEmployee.org
What is the penalty for making an illegal copy of a video?
The Copyright Act allows a copyright owner to recover monetary damages measured either by: (1) actual damages plus any additional profits of the infringer attributable to the infringement, or (2) statutory damages, of up to $150,000 for each copyrighted work infringed.
The copyright owner also has the right to permanently enjoin an infringer from engaging in further infringing activities and may be awarded costs and attorneys' fees. The law also permits destruction or other reasonable disposition of all infringing copies and devices by which infringing copies have been made or used in violation of the copyright owner's exclusive rights. In cases of willful infringement, criminal penalties may also be assessed.
Why is it illegal to train with a preview copy?
The training industry sends potential customers free preview-only copies of its programs for purchase evaluation. It is illegal to use a preview-only copy for actual training. It is illegal to duplicate a video training program without permission. We offer substantial discounts on multiple copies of our programs to encourage the legal use of our materials. Training industry videos and written materials are registered and protected by the same federal copyright laws. The agreements to provide preview-only versions of the training materials make it illegal to use them for training.
Not at all! Just go up the upper right-hand corner where you see the word "JOIN" and click! By answering a few questions (we'll let you know which ones are really important), you'll be on your way!
Will you share my information with anyone?
Just as we expect our privacy to be respected while visiting web sites, we absolutely respect the privacy of our customers and visitors. We DO NOT and WILL NOT sell or share personal or private information with anyone or any company. Ever.
To make your experience at our site more convenient and friendly.
We want to recognize and greet you when you return. We want to save you the trouble of filling in all the forms each time you return to order a product, by filling them in for you. Once you register, a cookie will be sent to your computer. Its only function is to recognize your username when you make a return visit, providing you with a more pleasant browsing experience.
In addition, one of the greatest and most unique conveniences we offer to our members is the ability to view full previews of our training videos online via our flash player. This option eliminates the wait time for a DVD or VHS preview tape. Of course, if you prefer video tape in hand, we are always more than happy to send previews to you.
Do I have to pay to ship the preview back to you?
Yes, via a trackable shipment (like UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Priority USPS). The return address is:
PNWF/Media Partners
17702 East Sprague Avenue
Building 1 Suite B
Greenacres, WA 99016
How long can I keep the VHS or DVD training preview?
14 days... give or take. We're not going to hunt your down or anything, but we'd really appreciate it if you sent it back to us so another trainer has a chance to view it.
What is the difference between a preview and a rental?
A preview is a free evaluation copy of a training program sent out by us to assist you in in your decision-making process . You're welcome to keep it for 14 days, but it is not a training tool.
A rental is a purchase copy of a program whose license can be purchased for an agreed amount of time at an agreed price for your training purposes.
Can I train with my preview copy?
No. And if you forget, we've added a reminder or two throughout the preview copies of our training programs.
Is the preview the full-length version of the film or just a trailer?
Most previews are full-length versions of the films.
Can I preview the support materials? Do they come with my preview film?
All Media Partners titles have support materials available to preview upon request.
How do I preview training videos online?
Please confirm that you have Flash Player installed on your computer (available from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/). You may have to restart your browser and reconnect to our site after you have installed the Flash Player, but once you're at our site, choose the preview that you'd like to watch and simply click on Play button in the middle of the movie screen.
Do all previews come in DVD format?
Unfortunately, no. You can see which videos do come in DVD format by going to the product page of the video you're interested in and looking at the green box in the lower right hand corner.
Why aren't the online previews working for me?
We're sorry to hear you've been having difficulties viewing our online media stream. Here are some suggestions that may help you:
- Make sure that you have "cookies" turned on within your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Netscape, etc.). as this is needed for our site to work correctly.
- Update to the latest version of the Flash player. Visit the Adobe Flash Player version test page to check what version of Flash is currently being used by your browser. (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/) This page also shows the latest version of the Flash Player available for your system, which can be downloaded from the Flash download center.
- Ensure that if you have a firewall at your organization, it is configured to allow streaming video. A firewall can make it difficult to receive video streams over the Internet. Although most firewalls now are "intelligent" and have the ability to recognize that you have requested a legitimate video and/or audio stream, you may still have to contact your IT department or network administrator to confirm this.
- Check your Internet connection speed. If it is a dial-up or anything slower than a DSL or cable-modem, you may not be able to view the stream properly.
- Finally, please close any other programs on your computer when you are viewing the preview stream. You want all available RAM and computer resources free to be able to have the best possible viewing experience. It sometimes helps to do a "restart" on your computer to clear out the memory and get your best performance. If you are still unable to view the video stream after making these adjustments, please let us know so we can ship you a videocassette to preview the program.
If I receive a VHS or DVD reel that contains several films for preview, are they priced individually?
Yes, unless you want more than one. If that's the case, be sure to call one of our sales associates to see if you qualify for a multiple copy discount.
I am unable to stream Flash content and I keep getting the spinning symbols when I click on the preview play button.
If you are having difficulties accessing the Flash preview streams, your company may have implemented strict firewall rules and/or you may be accessing the internet using a proxy server. Both of these will have a negative impact on watching Flash video programs. If your IT department has no objection, please visit the following URL which will attempt to determine which protocol, and/or ports are accessible from your network by your Flash player.
http://www.flashcomguru.com/apps/port_test/index.cfmWhat is the amount of time I can have the rental in my possession and does that include shipping time?
5 days upon receipt. We suggest you return it UPS 2- or 3-day at the end of your 5 days.
What if I have a VHS version of one of your videos and I'd like to trade up to a DVD?
We offer a $249 Upgrade price on any Media Partners video! The best way to take advantage of this offer is by calling 1-800-408-5657 and talk to one of our knowledgeable sales consultants.
If I like the film, can I apply my rental fees towards a purchase? If so, do I keep the rental or do I receive a new copy?
Yes. We prefer to have the rental returned and a new copy sent out. Typically there are additional ancillaries that are included in purchase packages that are not in the rental packages.
How do I know if I qualify for industry discounts on training videos?
When you join, we'll ask you a couple of questions about your industry. If you choose one of the industries that is eligible for a discount it'll automatically apply. If you're not sure what you're industry is or you have a question about the verification question feel free to give one of our talented consultants a call at 1-800-408-5657.
Are there any discounts available if I buy more than one film?

Are there industry discounts available on training products?
Yes! Although the specifics vary from producer to producer, typically they are 10% for Government, Consultants, Education, and Non Profit. The best way to know for sure is to give a training consultant a call. Let them know what video you're interested in and they will be sure to help you out! 1-800-408-5657
Do I need to have an account set up with you or a purchase order number to pay by invoice?
We may ask first-time buyers to answer a few questions prior to shipment in order to set up an account. As for purchase order numbers, we do not require that you provide us with a purchase order number, but if it would help you process the invoice more efficiently, we are happy to write your purchase order number on the invoice.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can choose from Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Check.
If I am outside of the U.S., can I rent or preview films?

If I am outside of the U.S., can I purchase a video or accessories?

What languages are your films available in?
This varies depending on the video. You might want to take a moment to look at the green box on the product page, in the section labeled Other Language Packages.

What formats are available for international purchase?
We carry VHS NTSC and DVD NTSC Region 0 formats.
Can I alter or copy the support materials that come with a film?

If you have any additional questions feel free to give us a call and we'll send you in the right direction. 1-800-408-5657.

If I lose my purchase copy do I have to pay full price for a replacement?
Sadly, we can't cover copies that go into the lost sock abyss, but we are generous with replacement copy discounts. It really depends on how long you've owned it. Your best bet is to call us and we'll see how we can help you. 1-800-408-5657.
If my purchase copy is damaged, is there a warranty?
Yes, but only with Media Partners Products and within our warranty (one-year limited warranty under normal use and service).
